Shannon Bodie has been working in graphic arts for over 17 years. After study as a fine artist, she joined Lightbourne in 1994 and became partner in 1999, where she continues Lightbourne’s reputation of outstanding service and award-winning design. Shannon specializes in designing the entire package for publishers—from cover and interior to marketing materials. As a veteran speaker at the PMA University, she shares her knowledge of the publishing industry along with useful tips and information about book design.

With over 18 years of experience in the design field, Bob Swingle brings a wide range of skills to the Lightbourne team. Formally trained in the fine and graphic arts, Bob’s areas of expertise include book cover and interior design, advertising design, photography and web site development. After spending 10 years in the world of advertising, Bob joined Lightbourne in 1999 and became partner in 2003. His achievements include one Benjamin Franklin and two Summit International Awards for book design. He is most drawn to the collaborative nature of the creative process to bring out the best in any project that involves communicating concepts in visual terms.
